Bianca is a prominent animal adoption charity operating in Portugal, committed to providing care and finding forever homes for abandoned animals. With a substantial population of 400 dogs and 150 cats currently awaiting adoption, Bianca actively encourages community involvement through adoption, sponsorship, and volunteering. The organization emphasizes the importance of responsible pet ownership and provides comprehensive support throughout the adoption journey, ensuring a good match between pets and their new families.

Bianca is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs and cats, ensuring their well-being and finding them loving adoptive families.

While specific foundational dates are not available, Bianca has established itself as a vital animal rescue and welfare organization, demonstrated by the significant number of animals it cares for and the comprehensive services it offers. The charity's sustained efforts in rescuing and rehoming hundreds of animals each year, managing substantial quantities of food donations monthly, and organizing community events like dog walks underline its long-standing commitment to animal welfare in Portugal. Public records such as annual reports and general assembly convocations like the one from March 2026 for the year 2025 further indicate an ongoing, structured operation dedicated to its mission.

Bianca primarily serves the Greater Lisbon region of Portugal, with its facilities located in Sesimbra. This strategic placement allows the organization to reach a broad community of potential adopters and volunteers across the metropolitan area and surrounding locales. The charity's initiatives, including monthly dog walks and adoption events, foster strong community ties, drawing participants and support from across Greater Lisbon and beyond to its center in Pinhal Mesquitas, Sesimbra.

At Bianca, a diverse array of animals, primarily dogs and cats, are under their care, all awaiting their chance at a loving home. The shelter is a temporary haven for approximately 400 dogs and 150 cats, ranging from puppies and kittens to adult animals, including those with special needs. They ensure each animal receives necessary vaccinations, deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption. Spaying or neutering is also a mandatory part of the adoption agreement, either completed before adoption or committed to be done when the animal reaches the appropriate age, reflecting Bianca's commitment to responsible pet population control and animal welfare.
